Having grown up surrounded by the world of football, Stephen understands its inner workings better than most.
With a career that first began in the education department for a number of high-profile academies, Stephen has since gone on to broker transfers on an international scale. Alongside this experience of working with Europe’s elite, Stephen wields a long list of qualifications, ranging from certificates in the Business of Football, FA Talent Identification, and Loughborough University’s Programme for Sports Agents, to an FA Coaching Badge, and Level 3 Diploma in Sports Nutrition.
Stephen’s expertise, wealth of knowledge, and remarkable catalogue of qualifications make him a trusted mentor for colleagues and clients alike, and establish him as an essential member of the Midas team.
With an 18-year career spent playing at the very summit of English football, Steve wields a deep understanding of the sport from a player’s perspective. Through spells in both the Premier League with Southampton and Millwall, and the Football League with Reading, Millwall, and Oxford, Steve’s knowledge of the footballing pyramid runs deeper than most.
Boasting over 20 years’ experience as an FA registered Intermediary, Steve possesses a wealth of expertise including an FA Diploma in the Treatment and Management of Sports Injuries, an FA qualification in Sport Psychology, and an UEFA A Licensed coaching certificate.
Combining his insight of the game, experience in facilitating multi-million-pound transfers, and global network of contacts, Steve has assembled a team of experts capable of handling every need of the modern-day footballer.
Having spent nine years in the red-and-white of Southampton, and receiving several call-ups to the Wales national team in the process, David is well aware of what it takes to succeed in the football world of today.
Following his retirement as a player in 2009, David continued to pursue a career in the sport, obtaining qualifications as an FA coach and FA Intermediary, whilst also stepping out for the Saints Legends on occasion.
David’s experience and grasp of the game make him a valued member of the Midas team, and place him in good stead to advise the next generation of footballers.
Jamie graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University with a First-Class bachelor’s degree in Sport Performance Analysis. As Performance and Data Scout for Midas, Jamie’s role is crucial in keeping us at the forefront of recruitment and research. Using the most up to date techniques and technology available in the footballing world, Jamie provides our clients with data-driven insights for the benefit of their performance. With past experience at Cardiff City’s Academy, Jamie is highly skilled at interpreting information for performance enhancement and scouting purposes. His ability to examine data, perceive talent, and profile the attributes of both clubs and players, makes him a vital member of the Midas team.
With nearly ten years at the company, Tanya has long been a key player in Midas’ every move. Whether it’s organising international travel or guaranteeing that our clients and their families receive the best possible service, Tanya is responsible for ensuring that things run smoothly across the office.
An experienced client care provider and event manager for a number of high-profile organisations across the London area, Tanya’s ability to manage the financial, travel, and lifestyle needs of the modern-day footballer is unrivalled.
Tanya’s awareness of FA regulations and aptitude for logistics are crucial to the company’s continued success, and make her a vital component of the Midas team.
In the game of today, it has never been more important that our clients receive the required media coverage to stand out from the crowd. This responsibility lies with our PR and Media Executive Dan, who manages our social channels – raising the profiles of both Midas, and our players.
With a bachelor’s degree in French and Spanish, Dan’s awareness of language and culture are a real asset. His fluency in French, Spanish, and Italian are beneficial, particularly given Midas’ global ties in the football world. Dan’s ability to interact with those from other backgrounds sets him apart, and has allowed him to both study in Spain, and operate as a Social Media Manager in France.
Combine this with a master’s in Sports Communications and Digital Media, three years’ experience in graphic design, videography, and animation, and an obsession with football, Dan is well-placed to represent all things Midas in the digital space.
Ian is a seasoned football professional with a wealth of experience both on and off the pitch. Having played in midfield for clubs such as Wimbledon, Bristol Rovers, and Maidstone United, he is no stranger to the English Football Pyramid. It was during this 18-year playing career that Ian recorded a number of high-profile successes, most notably lifting the Division 3 title and finishing runner-up in the 1988 FA Charity Shield.
Upon hanging up his boots, Ian obtained his coaching qualifications and embarked on a career in football management. He holds a UEFA A Licence and has coached at various levels, including academy roles at Fulham and Crawley Town, and head coach roles at several non-league clubs.
In addition to coaching, Ian possesses a keen eye for talent and has operated as a first team scout for Wimbledon, Northampton, and most recently Millwall. He has identified and nurtured countless young players over the course of the last decade.
Ian’s understanding of the game, talent identification, and expertise in player development are all industry-leading, and he is a valuable asset to the Midas team.
One of the most prolific figures in the English game, Micky’s wealth of experience as a manager and player establishes him as one of the most knowledgeable members of the Midas team.
With a 25-year playing career that saw Micky appear for clubs such as Coventry, Leeds, and Southampton, he has operated at some of the most prestigious clubs in English football. Playing alongside the likes of Steve Bruce and Alan Shearer, Micky has built his knowledge of the sport alongside some of the greats.
This trend has continued throughout his managerial career, where he has gone on to be First Team Manager at clubs such as Fulham, Brighton, and Leicester City. Whether it’s taking clubs to the Premier League or achieving cup glory, Micky really has seen it all.
Experience and prestige are just two of the qualities that former England goalkeeper Dave brings to the Midas team. Alongside a successful nine-year spell with Wimbledon, Dave has played the sport at every level, with stays at the likes of Chelsea, Newcastle, and Nottingham Forest.
That said, it was Dave’s time at Wimbledon where he attracted most attention, becoming the first goalkeeper to both save a penalty in the FA Cup Final, and eventually captain his side to their eventual win over Liverpool. Combine this with a place in Bobby Robson’s Italia ’90 World Cup squad, and Dave is established as one of the most experienced goalkeepers that the sport has to offer.
An UEFA A-Licensed goalkeeping coach, Dave has furthered his career post-retirement with coaching roles at Northern Ireland, Reading, and Fulham. With a wealth of experience and deep awareness of the game, Dave is a trusted mentor to our goalkeepers and outfield players alike.
